Philippians Pt. 2Sýnishorn
Welcome to Day 2! Yesterday, we reflected on Paul’s call to unity within the church, achieved through adopting the mind of Christ. We saw that true unity begins when we align our hearts with Jesus and allow His love to shape our attitudes and actions.
Today, Paul turns to humility as a key attribute of the mind of Christ. In Philippians 2:6, Paul describes how Jesus, though fully God, chose not to cling to His divine status for personal advantage. Instead, He let go, lowering Himself for the sake of others. This act of humility teaches us that true greatness lies in serving others and letting go of pride, selfish ambition, or anything else that prevents us from loving as Christ loved.
As we reflect today, let us consider how we can follow Christ’s example of humility by letting go of what holds us back and valuing others above ourselves.
Thank you for taking time to reflect on the humility of Christ with us. As you spend time in prayer today, consider this question:
How can I choose humility in my relationships by letting go of pride or selfish ambition and focusing on serving others?
May the Holy Spirit guide your heart and help you embrace the freedom found in letting go. We’ll see you tomorrow as we continue our study!
