Introduction to This Series

Autumn is God’s breathtaking symphony in living color, and each leaf is a brushstroke of His love, grace, and beauty. As a photographer, I am endlessly captivated by the colors of fall — the deep reds, radiant yellows, and warm oranges — all of which reflect the abundance of God’s blessings, unfolding for us to marvel at and embrace. This series, “Thankfulness in Living Color,” invites us to pause and celebrate the season as a reminder of God’s faithfulness and provision, present in every vibrant hue.

In James 1:17, we are reminded, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights.” Each scene in this collection highlights the abundance of His gifts, large and small. I pray these photos fill you with a renewed sense of gratitude for the Creator, whose artistry surrounds us and whose love sustains us. As you journey through these images, may your heart overflow with thankfulness, inspired by His presence in every detail.

Canopy of His Love

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Gracious Lord of Love, we come before You in awe of the banner You’ve placed over us — a banner of love (Song of Solomon 2:4). You invite us into Your presence, to sit at Your table, and to rest beneath the canopy of Your unfailing care. Just as Your Word says, “Your steadfast love is better than life” (Psalm 63:3), we are filled with gratitude that You welcome us, broken as we are, into the embrace of Your grace.

Lord, we confess that there are times when we forget that Your love covers us and seek shelter elsewhere when all we truly need is found in You. Teach us to abide under Your protection, knowing that Your banner over us is one of peace and assurance.

We thank You for the ultimate expression of Your love through Jesus Christ, who laid down His life for us. It is through His sacrifice that we are truly covered, redeemed, and made whole. Through Christ, we rest in the knowledge that Your love is unwavering and eternal.

Please fill our hearts with the assurance that we are deeply loved and cherished by You. Help us to live in a way that reflects this love to others so that they, too, may come to rest under the canopy of Your unfailing kindness.
