It's Time to Plant

DAY 8 OF 10

Ninth And Tenth Law.

Always Be Planting Good Seeds. Also called the Law of Continuity. Ecclesiastes 11:4 teaches, “Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest.” If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never plant seed. If you look at every cloud, you will never reap the harvest. Just keep planting—in the morning, plant, in the afternoon, plant, and in the evening, keep planting. Perfectionism paralyzes potential. If you want to be perfect before you even deploy your potential, you will never be all that God has called you to be. If you want to be perfect before you shoot your first video, chances are you will never start. If you want to be perfect before you take your stand, you will never become the global leader that God has called you to be. A lot of the tech giants you see today did not have a great start. But they started anyway. They put something out there and they kept improving. Stop waiting for perfect conditions, keep on sowing, working, and planting. And your harvest will be overwhelming. “Plant your seed in the morning and keep busy all afternoon, for you don’t know if profit will come from one activity or another—or maybe both” (Ecclesiastes 11:6). This scripture reference is from the Old Testament. But the principle remains. I pray that your every good seed will do well in the Name of Jesus.

While Waiting For Your Harvest, Be Patient And Do Not Give Up. Galatians 6:9 “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” You must not give up. God will take away everything that is making you tired. God will strengthen you. You will have more strength to keep going in the Name of Jesus. You may not be able to do anything about your last year's harvest or the harvest of the years past. But you can start planting good seeds today.

Everything starts with a seed. A seed has no power until it is planted. You have to plant it. Some seeds should be planted instead of eaten. Do not eat your seed. Plant your seeds. Whatever you plant is what you will harvest. You are not the only one planting in your life. Be aware of the people who are planting in your life. You harvest in a different season than you plant. You always harvest more than you plant. You can increase your harvest by planting more seeds. You should always be planting good seeds. And while waiting for your harvest, be patient and do not give up.

What seeds should you be planting but you have stopped planting?
How can you encourage yourself in seasons of waiting?

Take 5: Talk to God in prayer about your takeaway from today’s reading.

About this Plan

It's Time to Plant

Right from the beginning, in the creation story, God shows us a pattern which contains a huge lesson. And this lesson continues throughout the Bible. Jesus shows up on the scene and points to this same lesson. As long as heaven remains, seed time and harvest will continue. This plan focuses on seed, planting, and watering. A key principle of the kingdom of God and therefore, to every believer after God’s heart.
