Set the Sail (Preparing for a Move of God) Sýnishorn
Building The Altar: God Brings The Fire
We’re called to the ministry of altar-building. We’re called to set the sail so that the Spirit of God will blow where He wills. In 1 Kings Elijah was called to build an altar to the LORD in order for the power and presence of God to be made manifest as he battled with the prophets of Baal.
In the book of Ephesians we are reminded that we battle not against flesh and blood but against powers and principalities in the heavenly realm. Elijah is not the only one in a fight. We have an enemy that the Apostle Peter reminds us, prowls around like a roaring lion seeking those whom he can devour!
And this is why we are called to partner with God in altar-building; in curating the places of our lives where God can come down in power. Where in your life are you feeling the need for God to come down in power?
Where are the places of shame in your life that you can’t quite get over? Where are the places of addiction in your life where you need the Spirit to come in power? Where are the places of trauma where you need God to rain down his healing fire? Where are the areas in your life today where you desperately need a fresh move of the Spirit of God?
Look to the cross where the Righteous One was forsaken so that you would never have to be, and allow that truth to shape your altar-building. “Without God, we can’t; without us, He won’t.” Let’s get to work.

About this Plan
G. Campbell Morgan once said, “We cannot organise revival, but we can set our sails to catch the wind from Heaven when God chooses to blow upon His people once again." This 17 day journey through the scriptures will help inspire you with what the Bible teaches on revival and renewal.
