Achieving Victory With Jesus

DAY 13 OF 14

Achieving victory with Jesus

“The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with Me on My throne, as I also conquered and sat down with My Father on His throne.” (Revelation 3:21)

In Jesus' last letter to a local church, He repeats that believers who persevere and remain faithful may reign with Him. Because they have overcome “as I also conquered,” He adds. Let's look more closely at those words.

The life path of the Lord Jesus was unique. Being the Son of God, He became man. No one can imitate Him in this. Yet the life of every follower of Jesus resembles His.

- Jesus faced ridicule and opposition. He warned His disciples, “You will be hated by all for My name's sake.”

- Jesus died. Romans 6 states, “We were buried with Him by baptism into death” ... “we have been united with Him in a death like His.”

- Jesus rose again from the dead. “Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with Him.”

- Jesus has conquered (Revelation 5:5). By His power, we too will conquer.

- Jesus is seated on the throne of God. Believers may sit with Him on His throne.

Jesus went through suffering to eternal glory. If we are united with Him in all things, our path of life will follow the same line.

Do you see similarities between your life and Jesus' life? What are the most striking differences?

About this Plan

Achieving Victory With Jesus

In various parts of the Bible, Jesus Christ draws our attention toward the blessings He has in store for believers who endure to the end. These promises are meant to encourage us to “run with endurance the race that is set before us”. For if we do so, we will achieve victory with Jesus!
