The 5 - 5 - 5 Method

DAY 2 OF 5

5 Minutes - The Word

Jesus is the Word!

How can we spend time with Him apart from Him? It makes no sense! That’s why we must initiate the first portion of The 5-5-5 Method by reading a bare minimum of 5 minutes of God’s Word (The Holy Bible) each and every day.

If you go over 5 minutes in the Word, go ahead, and keep going! If you only spend 5 minutes in the Word, you still spent time with God—we’re proud of you! Keep it up! However, to accurately apply The 5-5-5 Method to your life, you must not spend any less than 5 minutes reading the Holy Bible each day.

Now, to make it simple, I’ve attached a Scripture to today’s lesson for you to read that could take 5 minutes give or take depending on how slow or how fast you read. The Gospel of John is a great place to start reading 5 minutes a day, each day inching closer to the next Word God is speaking in your midst, as He is in your midst, and you are in His.

If you get through the whole Scripture in 5 minutes, great! If you don’t, but you want to keep reading, do it! If at 5 minutes you decide to put it on pause until tomorrow, you still spent time with Him! We're proud of you! Keep it up! You’ve got to start somewhere!

However, whatever you do, do not read less than 5 minutes of God’s Word each and every day—that’s the first step for The 5-5-5 Method. 5 minutes of God’s Word. Boom. You got it!

Also, these introductory lessons prior to reading the Scripture do not count as reading 5 minutes of God’s Word each day, as my flawed words are not His flawless Words written only in the 66 books of His only written Word, the Holy Bible. My words won’t remain, however, God’s Word is eternal, and endures forever.

I think you’ll eventually discover that the more you read His Word over and over, the more a blessing you realize it is, the more you'll treasure it, and the more you’ll naturally want to be with Him through reading it. You have to start somewhere. Today makes for a great start! We’re so proud of you. Keep doing it! Don't give up—no matter what—God is with you and for you and doing a new thing in you.

He’s so proud of you—that’s what matters.
