You Can Do Hard ThingsSýnishorn
Grace
Two of the most beautiful things about being a Christian is the commonality and the individuality of God’s grace. We can have unity knowing that God’s grace is poured out on each of us. None of us deserves to have a relationship with God. But He loved us anyway. He sent Christ anyway. We have that in common with our Christian brothers and sisters. But He also gives us grace as individuals. He’s not a cookie-cutter God. My personality, background, and circumstances are different from yours. I have different gifts than you do, and I also have different needs. God gives each one of us grace—gifts that aren’t earned or deserved—as Christ sees fit. We all face unique challenges. What is no big deal to one person may be debilitating for another. So God gives us what we need as individuals. In the same way, we each have talents and abilities that allow us to feel useful in the kingdom. God placed each of us in this time and place to live out a specific purpose. When we all work together, encouraging one another and displaying Christ’s love to the world around us, God’s goal is accomplished.
Prayer: I’m sorry for looking at other people’s lives and comparing myself to them, Lord. I’m sorry for thinking You haven’t been fair with me. Thank You for Your grace. I want to serve You in any way I can.
