A SEAT AT THE TABLE
You, my friend, have been entrusted with leadership and influence. The rest of us need your unique voice. As a spiritual mama, I want to say I am so proud of you because of your commitment to utter a brave yes and take the next step.
And listen to what Jesus says: “Look at me. I stand at the door. I knock. If you hear me call and open the door, I’ll come right in and sit down to supper with you. Conquerors will sit alongside me at the head table, just as I, having conquered, took the place of honor at the side of my Father. That’s my gift to the conquerors!” (Revelation 3:20).
Every day Jesus stands at the door of your life, knocking with opportunities that you can miss because they often resemble a problem, a battle, a disappointment, or a failure. The moment you open the door, he immediately comes in and sits with you at his table. It’s meant to feel intimate and personal, like a one-on-one with Jesus.
Yet it will be a constant temptation to settle back and ignore the knock. Until soon, you won’t hear it anymore.
The battles over your life and your voice are real. Remember John 10:10: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy” which is of great value. And the Enemy of your soul knows the damage to his kingdom that will happen when you start practicing and speaking resurrection from an entrusted posture of leadership.
There’s a seat for you at Jesus’ table, friend. No matter what you walk through in life, don’t lose sight of the cost of the invitation and the fact that it’s not just about you. It’s about the others who will be impacted by your yes. The people who will find Jesus, the ones who are struggling because no one has encouraged them … your yes will impact generations.
Here I am, God. Use me. I wholeheartedly say yes to the entrustment and the assignment. I offer all my gifts and strengths, not for public recognition, but in obedience to your voice. Amen.
