Breathe

DAY 2 OF 20

Have you ever wondered what God’s plan for your life is? Let’s be honest: We all have! It’s part of our human nature to want to know what’s ahead for us, what our purpose is, and what we’re supposed to be doing with our lives. What’s crazy is that we sometimes get so caught up in trying to figure this out for ourselves that we miss the fact that God has already given us the answer. That’s exactly what Paul’s words to the Galatians tell us here.

Before we were even born, God had a plan for us. Before we even knew Jesus as our Savior, God had a purpose for us. Before we ever even thought about it, God knew what our lives would be about. The answer? To proclaim the Good News about Jesus. This is what we need room for in our lives! Rather than fill our schedules and calendars with what we think is the plan, God calls us to create a little breathing room for ourselves to make sure we have space to live out our true purpose and share the message of Jesus with our lives.

Think about what it might look like for you to create space in your life to share Jesus with others. In the way you live, the words you say, the choices you make—how can you reflect the Good News and live out your purpose in this life?

About this Plan

Breathe

Few things in life are more important than breathing. It’s what keeps us going and living. This isn’t a devotional on the science of breathing. Instead, we’re talking about what it looks like to create breathing room in parts of our everyday lives. From faith to finances to friendship to so much more, we’re diving into the benefits of slowing down, pausing, and giving these areas of our lives room to breathe.
