Hope: A Courageous Journey of FaithSýnishorn
DEVOTION - TODAY'S DISCUSSION
Hopeless is a strong word. Do you believe God exists in what you may consider a "hopeless" situation? God tells us to "Be strong. Take courage. Don't be intimidated. Don't give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He's right there with you. He won't let you down; he won't leave you." (Deuteronomy 31:6 MSG)
So what brings us out of these hopeless situations? We must be constant with God because he is constant with us. As we seek and listen, the doors are opened and our path is made straight, hope then follows.
Remember 2 Corinthians 4:17 "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." (NIV) Have encouragement today that God is truly with you; don't worry about tomorrow for He is here today, alongside you, and He is your anchor. God wants us to rely on him alone, securely fastened with His hope. Seek Him first so that your life will resemble a well-crafted ship, carrying you through rough seas and still waters, always secure in the solid anchor available to you through Christ.
FROM "TAYLOR'S GIFT" THE BOOK
Taylor’s gift is a gift that keeps on giving.
To others.
To us.
But the greatest gift we’ve received through this journey didn’t come from Taylor. It came from God.
The gift of hope. No matter how tragic our circumstances, God was always there for us. Whether we acknowledged Him or not, He was always there.
And whether we heard Him or not, He was always present.
He will be there for you too.
Of course He will.
You are His gift. You are His child.
TODAY'S REFLECTIONS
How secure is your anchor with God? Do you stay constant with him, believing he is constant with you?
Pray for God to be your anchor and for the Holy Spirit to guide you into the light of hope.
