Iron Sharpens Iron: Growing in LeadershipSýnishorn
FAITHFUL AND FRUITFUL
As leaders and pastors, we understand the importance of being deeply connected to the "true vine"—Jesus Christ. We often preach to our congregations about the necessity of faithfulness to Jesus as the ultimate source of strength and fruitfulness. However, the challenge for us as leaders is ensuring we have people around us who remind us of this same need. It is through faithfulness in the small things that God opens doors to greater opportunities. In John 15, Jesus emphasizes the importance of obedience, so that our lives may bear abundant and healthy fruit.
Faithfulness is truly tested during times of adversity, and it’s through standing firm during these trials that fruitfulness can emerge, especially after the process of pruning.
Today, let’s be intentional in seeking out other leaders in our lives who may need encouragement and prayer. Reach out to them, letting them know you are there for them. Often, they need your presence and support more than your advice or sympathy.
