4 Biblical Ways to Strengthen Your FinancesSýnishorn
Hey there, Friend, We're wrapping our time together up with the subject of seeking wisdom. Because let's face it, none of us have all the answers when it comes to money. But here's the good news - we don't have to!
Proverbs 3:9-10 gives us a starting point: "Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine." God promises us, in multiple places of the Bible, that He has our backs.
James 1:5 takes it a step further: "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you."
And Proverbs 15:22 reminds us of the value of good counsel: "Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed." So let’s apply some of this wisdom to our own lives!
What's one financial decision we're facing right now that could benefit from an outside perspective? With that in mind, let’s seek out our own personal finance dream teams.
At first it might be hard for us to find those people. When I was struggling, I felt alone… I didn’t know any experts on money personally.
But here's the thing: wisdom isn't just found in expert advisors.
It can also be found in our friends who always seem to find the best deals, or our coworkers who are great at saving. It's about building a community of support and shared knowledge!
So, who are 3-5 people we each know that are really good with money?
When we find them, let’s reach out to these financial superheroes. Maybe set up a monthly money chat over coffee. Let’s bring our questions, our goals, and our struggles to the table.
Let’s keep learning and keep adapting as time goes on, and not be afraid to ask for help sometimes! God has placed individuals in our lives for a reason and I know He will use them to bless us in ways we didn’t even realize at first.
Let's pray together:
Lord, thank You for Your endless generosity towards me. Help me to mirror Your giving heart in my own life. Guide me to be a wise steward of what You've entrusted to me, to find contentment in Your provision, to give joyfully, and to seek out wisdom regularly. May my financial choices honor You and bless others.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
