Everyone Wants a MiracleSýnishorn
The Need for Miracles
The year I was born, my parents began proclaiming and demonstrating the miracle life of Jesus to people on every continent. We traveled as a family, living among unreached peoples of many cultures and religions. My earliest memories as a child include being an eyewitness to the awesome power of God’s love toward people.
Nothing is too hard for Him. No person is too beyond the reach of His compassion and rescue. No sickness is greater than His healing life. No wound or injustice is beyond His power to redeem and restore. Miracles are normal for God, who created all things by His great power and outstretched arm.
As a young adult, I attended a Bible School. It was there that I heard for the first time that some Christians do not believe that miracles are experienced today as they were in Bible days. I was shocked. To me, the arguments and debates concerning miracles were simply idle talk. I had seen thousands of miracles of healing, of changed lives, of restored dreams, of reconciled relationships, of material provision, of physical protection, and more.
Today, I continue my parents’ legacy through the various aspects of our global ministry. Nothing has changed because the resurrected Jesus has not changed. Tens of thousands of Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, animists, and followers of other religions have believed in Jesus Christ and turned to Him in our outreaches around the world. They did this because they saw the proof of His living presence and the reality of His Word in action through the miracles He wrought.
Jesus attracted the multitudes through miracles. Wherever miracles are wrought in His Name today, regardless of the area or country, throngs of people will gather, eager to see His power in evidence.
Jesus Christ is as much a miracle worker now as He ever was. Humanity needs His miracle touch now more than ever. In a world full of death, sickness, sorrow, war, poverty, and evil, millions yearn for Christ. When He is allowed into our hearts, we experience His power, His love, and His presence. I encourage you to embrace the living, wonder-working, astonishing Son of God.
Jesus, Son of God, You came to save and to heal. You demonstrated Your mighty power by rising from the dead. Please touch my life and the lives of those around me.
