The Sound of Light

DAY 1 OF 6

All Scripture quotations are taken from the The Holy Bible, English Standard Version.

The Light That Never Left Has Come

The sun rose today all over the earth. The clouds could not stop it from coming and lighting up our blue marble planet, which turns, turns, turns.

The sun is always present, as you know. It never takes a rest. It shines warm, burning bright even as our planet revolves for one more day. Each revolution reveals the care and concern of the One who made the sun, the earth, and all we now dwell in.

The day arrived yet again, dragging you and me along with it. Every day is both no different than yesterday, yet a totally new day dissimilar from every other day we’ve ever lived. It is our lot as humans to find that “still point of the turning world.” And in that stillness, we can wonder why we exist. Why are we here?

We can be assured of one thing, one reason we exist: each new day brings the opportunity to be—to be love and to be loved.

So, Dear Friend of God, the God who loves all of us, be love and be loved today. Be loved by the One who made you and me—the One who deems you lovable and worth loving.

This love is just like light from the sun. Its warmth falls upon your heart straight from the heart of God. Listen to this song that echoes in the chambers of your heart, where God abides:

“I have loved you with an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3 ESV).

You are beloved, unconditionally loved by God. You can never be loved too much. “True Light” is the Logos Light that loves you out of hurting and hiding. “True Light” is the only light you can trust with your life and the life to come.

Be loved, Beloved. Be loved today. By God, by me, by others. If you can do but that—let Love love you—you will have surpassed a conqueror’s dream or a king’s ransom. The love of God received is the peace of God restored. It is freely given to all. To you. To me. Endlessly to be received, beyond measure, beyond words.

Be loved, Beloved. Be loved.

About this Plan

The Sound of Light

The Sound of Light offers words of peace to those amid life’s tragic journeys. It is meant to be spoken as a source of God’s comfort for those who are at life’s end, as an encouragement of God’s healing for those in critical condition, and as a renewal of God’s hope and love for those struggling with despair and suicidal thoughts. God created you, loves you, and cherishes you.
