Renew Your Strength After a Breakup

DAY 4 OF 5

GET RENEWED STRENGTH

We all get tired and weary at some point on our journeys. As we go through tests and trials, and even victories and triumphs, we become physically, mentally, and spiritually weak. Even the strongest and most vigorous of us all need their strength renewed at some point. This is nothing to be ashamed of.

This journey of healing and purpose you have been on takes a lot out of you. It’s only natural to be weakened, but you don’t have to stay that way. We have a God who renews strength. All you have to do is wait on Him. I like how the amplified version describes waiting. It’s not a passive thing. You don’t just sit with an idle mind and wait. No. While you’re waiting, you are also expecting and looking and hoping for God to show up in your midst. God will renew the strength you had before the breakup or before the dysfunctional relationship.

If your thoughts are something like, “Man, I had so much power before that person came into my life.” Don’t worry! When God renews, He not only gives us new strength, He gives us new power as well. As we allow God to renew us, we rise up closer to Him in our spirits. We become like eagles, rising above our situations. An eagle soars high, able to look down on and see everything below it. We get a better vantage point, which means we get a better perspective. A better perspective means overall better living. We live better because we make better decisions based on our better perspective. We are no longer easily fooled because our vantage point allows us to see the enemy coming, and our renewed strength and power allows us to handle him accordingly. When God renews our strength, hell gets nervous. The devil gets scared. He knows we are no longer easy prey. He knows when our strength and power is renewed, we will run and not get weary, and we will walk and not grow tired. He knows we are strong women of God that can’t be trifled with. He knows the power we possess. So if you’re feeling weak right now, just wait on the Lord. Hope that He will show up; look for Him to show up; expect Him to show up; and He certainly will!

Declare: In my times of weakness, I will wait on God. I wait with expectancy, hoping and looking for Him to show up; and I know that He will. He will renew my strength and my power. My new strength and power scares the enemy. I’m no longer a weak woman to be taken advantage of. I am now ready to run this race without becoming weary. I will walk on this journey without getting tired.
