4 TRUTHS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE GETTING MARRIEDSýnishorn
How do you choose the right partner? (Part 2)
- Take an interest in the challenges of being a couple by attending training courses, reading books on the subject, and talking to couples around you who seem to be experiencing what you want to experience.
- Ask God, in your heart, for the green light for this union. Take time for this prayerful reflection BEFORE you become too emotionally, spiritually, or physically connected because otherwise, your hormones will not let you see things clearly.
- It is important to note here that God will speak to both of you individually about the marriage you are considering building. Above all, do not let yourselves be influenced by people who say, "God told me you should marry…." God speaks directly to the person concerned, especially on the topic of marriage.
- Pray with close friends who have your best interests at heart for their help in finding God's will for you.
The time to reflect on the choice of spouse is only valid before marriage. There is no time to wonder if you made a mistake afterward. Once the couple is united, they can and will succeed because, now, man and woman are one in the eyes of God. The covenant made before God allows us to say, "With God, we can face whatever life throws at us and get through the good and bad times victoriously."
Build your marriage on a rock with God as your foundation; you will never regret it!
