Biblical Principles of Money Management

DAY 3 OF 3

We've talked about God owning it all and how to steward our resources wisely. But here's the secret sauce that ties it all together: trusting in God's provision. When we really grasp this truth, it's like a weight lifts off our shoulders, and we find a peace that money could never buy.

Jesus himself tells us in Matthew 6:33 to seek God's kingdom first, and everything else will fall into place. It's like He's saying, "Hey, let me handle the details. You just focus on loving me and loving others." When we make God our top priority, we can trust that He'll take care of the rest.

I love how Paul puts it in Philippians 4:11-13. He's learned the secret of being content no matter what his bank account looks like. Whether he's got plenty or he's scraping by, Paul's joy and peace come from his relationship with God, not his financial status. That's the kind of contentment I want in my life, don't you?

And get this: Jesus tells us not to worry about our material needs. In Matthew 6:25-34, He points out how God takes care of the birds and the flowers, and He reminds us that we're way more valuable to Him than they are. If God's got the sparrows covered, you can bet He's got you covered too.

So, today, here's what I want you to do:

  1. Make seeking God's kingdom your number one priority. Wake up each day and say, "God, I trust you to provide for me as I focus on loving you and others."
  2. Practice contentment in your current circumstances. Instead of always chasing after more, take a moment to thank God for what He's already given you.
  3. When those financial worries start creeping in, take them to God in prayer. Pour out your heart to Him and trust that He's got you in the palm of His hand.

When we learn to trust in God's provision, we don't have to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders because we know our heavenly Father's got us.

So keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and watch as He shows up in ways you never could have imagined.

Let's pray: Heavenly Father, thank You for being the ultimate provider and source of all that we need. Help us to trust in Your wisdom and guidance as we navigate the ups and downs of our financial journeys. Give us hearts that are content, generous, and fully devoted to You. May the way we steward our resources bring honor to Your name and bless those around us.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

And as a thank you for finishing the plan, I'd love to give you a copy of my award-winning book ‘Simple Money, Rich Life’. It's packed full of Biblical strategies to multiply your income, maximize your savings, and amplify your giving. Get it here .
