Memory Lane

DAY 7 OF 7

Have you possibly forgotten this?

How can you make your friends happy?

Well, I love it when, for example, my friend sends me flowers. I just love flowers. And when my friends have birthdays, it's often something I gift them, simply because I love it myself and want to give them what I would wish for myself.

"Love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:39 NIV)

That's the second commandment of God. And do you know what the first commandment is?

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart." (Matthew 22:37 NIV)

I LOVE that these two commandments, the most important ones, both include the word LOVE. With commandments, you usually get scared and expect something hard and unattainable. But to LOVE — that's something you can do if you want.

God wishes to be loved by you, and your fellow human beings wish for you to love them.

And if I now reverse my initial question, "How can you make your friends happy?" and ask, "How can you make God happy?" then I can gladly reveal the answer. Believe that…

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NIV)

How do I make God happy? Through a prayer. Prayer is like fuel; it keeps your relationship with Him running!

Your God, who desires this love from you, wishes you to show it through prayer!

There's nothing more valuable you could do for your friends than to pray for them! Yes, our friends will receive the most precious things from us when we speak to God on their behalf.

What is so close often gets forgotten the quickest. That's why I want to give you this important reminder today, so that your friends, through your prayers, can also experience miracles.

Whoever loves their friends, prays for their friends.

You are a miracle!

About this Plan

Memory Lane

This week, we want to take a little memory tour together. We've heard many divine truths, but honestly, we may have forgotten these truths because they're not right in front of us. However, there are often great blessings hidden behind these very simple things! Look forward to these blessings as we remember this week.
