Amen Hallelujah
We live in a broken world, riddled with disease, chaos, heartbreak, wars, natural disasters, and pain. But it was never meant to be this way, that is not God’s heart for his people. When I think of my deepest hurts and grief, it can be compounded by the realization that there are people all over this world, throughout all of history that have experienced the same, and at times even worse.
The Father of Heaven is the origin of all things good, right, and pure. There is a beautiful hope found in the book of Revelation. In it there are so many other-worldly pictures and descriptions from John, what he sees and what’s to come. Events and stories that instill a sense of wonder and awe, and one of them is here in Revelation 19.
This is where the enemy, the author of all things evil, corrupt, and distorted, is finally destroyed forever. The one who tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden, the one who deceived Judas to betray Jesus, the one after those who would follow God, he will be destroyed, and evil will be no more, because of Jesus.
His eyes are full of fire
His love has won the war
His body bears the scars and they’re the mark of His reward
Written in His thigh
Written on His robe
Are the words ‘King of Kings'
And the words ‘Lord of Lords'
Jesus is our Victor
Jesus is our King
Overcoming darkness and every evil thing
His word will not be shaken
And His love will not relent
So I’ll declare His kingdom
With a cry that never ends
He reigns
Amen Hallelujah, by New Life Worship
What a vision, what a hope: That everything broken will not only be made right, but evil itself will be destroyed and cast out forever and ever.
Amen - let it be so, Lord.
Hallelujah - praise be to God!
