Grace of God: 5-Day Devotional PlanSýnishorn
Far too often, we tend to focus on what we don’t have instead of what we do.
Our lack of success, possessions, and personal development can tend to consume our thoughts. Even our “self-talk” can tend to minimize what has been and what is. It’s as if we believe that our lives are accidents when the reality is that they are full of intentionality.
The gift of life is the first act of God’s grace. Before we even took our first breath, before our hearts beat for the first time, there was purpose. The psalmist speaks to this and tells us how intentional our existence is. He speaks of complexity, delicateness, workmanship, and the laying out of our days. We are not afterthoughts of human passion; we are purposefully created and birthed by the passion of God.
Our existence isn’t accidental; it is extremely deliberate. Before our first heartbeat, there was intent – a divine plan etched into our very being. Every moment was laid out for us, fashioned like a potter's squeezing and shaping of clay.
Every moment, whether squeezed or shaped, full of pressure or refinement, brings us to God’s predetermined plan and the purposes for which he has created us. The gift of life unfolds a gift of gracious existence, intricately woven with intentionality.
While we may think we don’t have a lot, remember this: God has gifted us abundantly.
Our lives burst forth with opportunities already planned by His grace. We are not accidents; we are intentional beings, invited to discover the richness that God gives our existence.
