Lift Off

DAY 14 OF 28

At the end of every week, we'll give you a challenge—something to try that might be outside your regular routine. Each challenge is designed to help you develop one important spiritual habit. This week, it's...

SPEND TIME WITH OTHERS

The people in our lives can have a big impact on our faith—and we can have a big impact on other people's faith too. But that doesn't happen by accident. Today's challenge is going to help you connect with at least one other person in a way that helps you (or maybe even both of you) grow!

CHALLENGE

Think about this verse while you do one of the activities below.

  1. ASK FOR HELP WITH YOUR TO-DO LIST: Is there something you need to do that feels confusing? Invite a friend to go with you and offer support. Let them know you've got their back when they need it, too.
  2. READ A BOOK OR LISTEN TO A PODCAST WITH A FRIEND: Have a question about God or something you're curious about? Grab a friend or two that will help you dig into finding answers. Read a book or listen to a podcast, then meet to talk about it.
  3. INVITE SOMEONE TO GET A MEAL WITH YOU: Great conversations happen over food. Ask someone you want to get to know better to meet up for a quick bite before school or eat lunch with you one day, and find out more about them.
  4. SERVE TOGETHER: Helping others is one way to form connections that grow our faith. Either volunteer somewhere to make new friends or ask someone you already know to join you in doing something you care about.

About this Plan

Lift Off

Whether you've been attending church since you were a kid or are brand new to this Jesus thing, you probably have some ideas about what it takes to grow spiritually—but you might have some questions, too. In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll look to some stories of Jesus and his followers to see how spiritual habits can help us "lift off" our spiritual growth.
