Easter: Holy Week Devotional in ASL

DAY 2 OF 6

Palm Sunday

On Palm Sunday, Jesus is around 33 years old and has been doing ministry for the past three years. He is close to the time of His death. Palm Sunday marks an important moment in Jesus' ministry with His triumphal entry into Jerusalem. This day marks the beginning of “Holy Week”.

Some of the gospels' most familiar teachings and stories are presented this week.

Now, as we go through this week, we reflect and remember what God has done for us. You see, our relationship with Christ and the resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of our faith. Jesus was fully God, but He was also fully man and lived a human life experience. He experienced all the same emotions we do: love, joy, suffering, and hardship.

This week, see the full humanity of Jesus displayed, one that we can connect to and empathize with. Jesus shows us how to navigate the lowest of life, even in tragedy. Jesus would eventually die for us because He loved us.

His loving sacrifice will cost Him everything, but it gave us everything, including Him.

The question we must ask ourselves is, who is Jesus to me?

How would you answer that?
