The Good Life

DAY 1 OF 7

Day 1: The Original Blueprint:
Welcome to The Good Life Plan! Over the next 7 days, I hope to equip you with powerful biblical principles throughout God’s Word that will help us live the good life. Today, we’re discussing our original blueprint . . . God Himself!

Throughout the Scriptures—from Genesis to Revelation—God reveals His will for everyone, not just to live the good life, but the BEST life ever known. It began in the Garden of Eden with its absolutely perfect living conditions. Then came Abraham, whose abundance of cattle and property made him one of the richest men to ever live up until his death (Genesis 24:1). Fast forward to King David who was one of the wealthiest men to ever live on this planet. In today’s economy, King David’s wealth would equate to billions of dollars! He transferred this wealth to his son, Solomon, who also became one of the wisest men to ever live. The list goes on and on. It’s clear that the pattern for God to bless His people has been established throughout the ages.

Even in the New Testament.

When Jesus taught His disciples how to properly pray, He instructed them to ask for the will of God to be done on earth just like it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).

If God is the chief architect of the universe and our lives (which He is), then wouldn’t it behoove us to know His divine blueprint for success?

Absolutely, yes! The Bible says that unless the Lord builds our house, all of our labor is in vain (Psalm 127:1). Jesus established one of the foundational truths that lay the groundwork to live a victorious life when He said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).

Jesus came to this earth as a direct representation of God Himself (John 1:14, Hebrews 1:3a). Even though His mission was multi-faceted, one of His direct purposes was to make abundant life available and obtainable to the entire human race. Notice, He describes this part of His assignment in two different phases: 1) that you may have life and 2) that you may have it more abundantly. It’s one thing to experience life, but it’s an entirely different thing to live a God-filled abundant life!

God does not receive glory from your poverty or struggles; God receives glory from your successes and your triumphs. It’s time to start living the way He designed you—according to His blueprint—and start giving God the glory He deserves!

It’s time to start living THE GOOD LIFE!
