Understanding the Subject of the CovenantSýnishorn
BUILDING A COVENANT CONSCIOUSNESS (1)
Covenant consciousness is the first thing God wants you to be baptised with if you will have a covenant-compliant life. There must be a knowing and thorough conviction of God's Covenant for you. You cannot perform better than the consciousness of yourself you have. Your consciousness determines your actual performance, not your education. It is possible to know better than you are performing. That is why someone can be better qualified and have a lesser result than another person who is less qualified but has a greater consciousness of his ability and capacity.
Your covenant with God is more real than the marriage relationship between a man and a woman. When a man marries a woman, she changes her name and begins to bear the man's surname. Sometimes, you will notice that it takes some time before the consciousness catches up on them, and then their life is subsumed in the consciousness of the new relationship. For some people, it takes a year or two to adjust. After some weeks of marriage, the wife especially, still looks around when she is called her married name. The newly married man doesn't act like a married man immediately. Eventually, the consciousness begins to catch up with them that two have become one.
How long will it take for you to adjust your mind to take a covenant position? It is time to subsume yourself in the covenant of God for you. When you are walking on the earth, there is an awareness that heavenly beings have - a covenant child of Jehovah. Let this covenant position be in you.
Prayer: Lord, baptize me with covenant consciousness. Help me to walk in the assurance of a covenant child of God in Jesus' Name. Amen.
