It Is Well: Generational Faith That Never Runs DrySýnishorn
Day 8: Generational Thinking
No generation has a complete picture of the eternal God.
However, our faith helps us know God in the times we live in and is not just reserved for knowing God in eternity.
I hope you will bravely take on the responsibility of faith, which will directly affect the lives of your children and future generations. I hope you will handle your faith and the Christian life with caution, knowing that what you do now will outlive you. I hope you will build a life worth living for more than just yourself, and that you will approach generational wells with an eternal scope.
Generational thinking is not limited to living with future generations in mind. It’s a reminder to us that we are not alone on our present journey and that our individual lives are part of a much larger story of generational faith.
The weight of faith has never been ours to carry alone.
We are all in this together, doing our best to maintain faith in a changing world.
My hope is that every generation will gain a deeper appreciation for the faith of their ancestors and feel valued for the role they play in God’s intergenerational plan.
My prayer is that you will come to understand the significance behind every step, the calculated ones and the missteps.
We are saved by grace through faith, and it is this grace that has brought us thus far and will lead us home.
In Christ, your well and the generational wells to come will never run dry.
Truly, it is well.
Was this plan helpful? We adapted this Plan from Kayleon Dortch-Elliott's book, It is Well: Generational Faith That Never Runs Dry.
About this Plan
According to Scripture, God’s righteousness is revealed from faith to faith, but what if this was never meant to be a solo endeavor? On this 8-day journey, you are invited to explore individual faith through the lens of God’s intergenerational plan. May you be reminded your journey is part of a larger story, gain a deeper appreciation for wells you’ve inherited, and find courage to go a step further.
