Matthew 11:28 – 30
Busyness is a perennial problem. The pressures and demands of life seem to pound at us like hurricane winds at a palm tree. We sometimes wonder if we can continue to stand. But in the midst of life’s storms, Jesus holds out an invitation for us to come in out of the winds because his yoke is easy and his burden is light. How can he say such a thing? Doesn’t he know our schedules? The problem is that our schedules aren’t always his schedule. If we are carrying a load that is too heavy for us, it’s a load that Jesus never intended for us to carry in the first place. He invites us to relinquish our burdens to him in faith.
