PRAYING FOR MARRIAGES
Marriages are an amazing gift from God that has been under attack from the time sin entered the world. God's word talks about what God has joined. Let not man separate, yet so many marriages struggle. Too many end in divorce. Let us pray for God's will to be done in our marriages. Pray for our marriages and the marriages of others. Pray that as we have received God's forgiveness, so we will grant His forgiveness. Pray that hearts would be soft and that they would have a desire to do what is right. Pray for God to grant us freedom from the mistakes in the past, and healing from past hurts. Pray that passion will be reignited and grow more than ever before. Pray that our homes would become a source of shining light, of the love of God that draws others toward Him. Here are some ways to pray:
- Pray for repentance and forgiveness (1 John 1:9; Col. 3:13)
- Pray for hearts to be softened (Matt. 19:8)
- Pray for salvation and encounters with God. (1 Tim. 2:3-4)
- Pray for healing and freedom from the past. (Psalm 103:12)
- Pray for passion to return. (Heb. 9:24)
- Pray for good communication (Prov. 15:1; 18:21; 12:18)
- Pray for the right priorities (Matt. 6:33)
- Pray for our marriages to be a demonstration of God’s love that draws us and others to God. (Eph. 5:22-33)
About this Plan
We are taking 21 days to seek God first. Prayer is powerful! Prayer is a way that we can partner with God to see His kingdom come and His will be done. When we pray together, it draws us closer to God, bringing not only results but unity as we seek Him together.
