A Glimpse of Infinity (Deep Space Edition) - 7 Days of Photography & PrayersSýnishorn
The Heavenly Realms
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, splendor and majesty are before You; strength and joy are in Your place (1 Chronicles 16:27). All creation looks to You and praises Your name, for You are our Maker.
Please watch over us today as we wrestle with this present darkness (Ephesians 6:12). Cause us to step into Your light and reflect it to those around us. We know You’re coming soon, O Lord; enable us to stand firm in the faith (1 Corinthians 16:13). Protect and guide us as we look to You for our salvation.
ONE QUESTION
What practical steps can I take to cultivate a deeper prayer life that seeks God's protection and guidance?
ABOUT THIS PHOTO
- This Deep Space Object is about 600 light years away and is categorized by astronomers as LDN 673 — a beautiful dark nebula in the constellation of Aquila.
To capture this image, I used the FSQ-106 530mm f/5 telescope, the Paramount MyT (to follow the earth's rotation), and the QSI 683wsg-8 (8300) camera. To render all the data, I photo-stacked 105 x 600 second exposures together for a total of 17.5 hours of data. I did take some artistic liberties here with the color correction of the stars.
