A Glimpse of Infinity (Portraits of India) - 7 Days of Photography & PrayersSýnishorn
The Poor
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, You tell us in Your Word that the righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern (Proverbs 29:7). As we meditate on Your wisdom, fill our hearts with love for mercy, compassion, and kindness.
Today, we pray for the many people worldwide who are vulnerable to abuse, hate crimes, slavery, and injustice. Please pour out Your mercy and compassion. In Psalm 12:5, You declare, “Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan, I will now arise. I will protect them from those who malign them.” Please do this, O God.
Please forgive us for the times when we have ignored Your commandments and turned a deaf ear to those in need. Move us by Your Spirit to advocate for the voiceless and the less fortunate. Guide us in Your truth to love our neighbors as ourselves.
ONE QUESTION
What are some ways that I can advocate for those who are marginalized or voiceless?
