21 Days Prayer & Fasting "Alive in Calling"

DAY 4 OF 21

STAND FIRM IN CHALLENGES

Do you still remember the story when the Lord Jesus met His disciples at night, and a violent storm raged, tossing their boat into the sea? In Matthew 14:22-33, Jesus instructed His disciples to go ahead of Him after feeding five thousand people. When night fell, a storm arose, and strong winds battered the disciples' boat. This is the story of Peter experiencing a supernatural event, walking on water with Jesus.

God's calling to every believer is like walking on water with Him. Initially, when we decide to respond to God's calling and commit to walk with Him, enthusiasm fills our hearts. But when problems arise, our faith and commitment are tested.

Like Peter, who began to sink when he felt the wind, we often experience something similar. But what is our attitude when we start to doubt and lose faith? Do we ask for help from God, or do we run away from His presence?

Just like Peter, if we ask for God's help, His hand will swiftly hold us so that we will not sink. Following God's calling is a valuable and essential choice that comes with challenges from various aspects of life.

It takes work to stand firm in the truth, especially in a world that opposes Christ and His followers. But let us commit to continue to stand firm in following the Lord, no matter how difficult the obstacles may be, believing that His promise of His presence and provision is present in every season of our lives.

PRAYER
Lord, we are grateful for every guidance as we enter the year. Though there are many things we do not understand, one thing we know is that You hold our lives. Whatever obstacles lie ahead, strengthen our hearts so we can continue to stand firm in Your truth. We want to learn to trust You completely. In Jesus' name, Amen.
