4 Steps Into Love: Attracting Strong RelationshipsSýnishorn
T = Trust God's Timing for Love's Arrival
For the single heart, waiting can be challenging. I know because, as a 49-year-old virgin, I was there. I recall impatiently rushing into a relationship instead of trusting God’s timing, only to discover it wasn’t God’s plan. That decision cost me heartache, time, and money. Later, I met my spouse and realized I should have been patient, as the wait was worth it.
Our job is to hope, trust, and prepare. Sometimes, we delay our promise because we’re not ready to receive it. I know that, in my case, I wasn’t ready to be a wife. For example, I needed to learn to cook a proper meal, not just oatmeal. My finances also needed attention. The last thing I wanted to do was enter my future relationship as a liability. So, I spent my single years becoming debt-free.
Perhaps there are things that God is teaching you in your season of singleness. Seek the Lord and ask him to reveal if there are any areas that you need to enhance. Remember, when we stay ready, we don’t have to get ready.
God sees the desires of your heart, and His plan is far greater than you can imagine. Just as a skilled artist knows when to add the last brushstroke, your love story will unfold in God’s perfect timing. Get ready!
Action Step: Reflect on experiences where you've seen God's perfect timing at work. Write any areas where you need to trust His timing, especially in relationships.
Prayer: Lord, teach me to trust your timing and to rely on your wisdom. Help me remember that your timing is always perfect, and I can rest in your plans. In Jesus' name, amen.
