God's Redemption Story (Exodus - Joshua)Sýnishorn
Moses is one of the most widely recognized figures in the Bible, a man praised for his strong faith and extraordinary leadership. But the first forty years of his life showed no signs of future greatness. If we read only the first fifteen verses of Exodus 2, we could easily write him off as a failure. He was born a slave, and his mom floated him down the river in a basket at three months old. Pharaoh's daughter saved Moses, and he grew up in the palace, but that didn’t last long. After he killed an Egyptian, he ran for his life into the desert.
How does any of this qualify him to be a hero of the faith? It doesn’t. But God had a plan, and despite Moses’ dreadful beginning, God’s favor was on him. Maybe you had a rough beginning, but God has a plan for you, too. Lean into it.
