All In: Faith Unfurled

DAY 1 OF 7

If you have worked through the plan All-In: Faith Unfazed in World of Chaos, you learned about this idea of living an all-in faith. But what is the key? How do we keep from willfully sinning? How do we live a life that blesses people? How do we keep from losing your grip? It is all about living by faith. Hebrews 10:38 tells us that the just shall live by faith.

We do not live like the world. We do not live like the unsaved, like those who are going into an eternal lake of fire. We no longer belong to that realm.

If you want to find hope and purpose in life, go all in. Resolve to live for the Lord every day. Resolve to not allow your faith to be fazed or moved by a chaotic world. Resolve to be all-in.

But as you strive to live an all-in faith, this world around you will most likely not be very receptive. Most people, even some Christians, will think you are crazy if you go to church every Sunday morning, not to mention Sunday night and mid-week services. But in this world of distractions, is it possible to hold on to faith?

I am not talking about holding on for salvation, because that is a one-time exercise of faith in the finished work of Jesus. At that moment, the one who puts their faith in Jesus receives an eternal pardon, and that is something that cannot be let go of. However, it is possible to let go of daily faith.

So, what is faith? Hebrews 11:1 tells us that it “…is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” People have this idea that faith is ethereal like a cloud, something that is not real. However, in His Word, God tells us that concept is not correct. Faith is real. It is concrete. It is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen. People will tell you that seeing is believing, but the Bible flips that on its head and tells us that believing is seeing.

Hebrews chapter eleven is often called “The Faith Hall of Fame.” Listed in this chapter are men and women who were not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. However, they were described as having great faith. This tells me that there is hope for people like me and people like you. Hebrews 11:2 says that these people were able to do the things that they did through faith. They “…obtained a good report…” because of the all-in faith that they lived out.

Can we live out this same faith in the world that we live in today? I genuinely believe that we can. When we present our bodies as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1) and walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16), we, too, can have a testimony before God and the world that we lived with an unfurled faith that was all-in.
