The Promise of Christmas

DAY 14 OF 20

Isn’t God’s love for us amazing? God loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to Earth thousands of years ago. Why? Because He wanted to make a way to save us from our sins. That’s the reason we celebrate Christmas in the first place! It’s that lasting act of love that we celebrate and remember in this season each year. It’s a love we can see on display in our lives, relationships, and the world around us. It’s a love we can look for to guide us through this season and beyond. And it’s a love we can be thankful for because it changed everything for us!

Today, challenge yourself to talk with someone in your life about how thankful you are for God’s love. Be specific as you share with them about the ways you see God’s love at work in your life during this Christmas season. It will not only help you focus on the gift of God’s love for you, but it will also challenge the other person to do the same! Then, ask them to share how they’ve seen God’s love at work in their own life during this season.

About this Plan

The Promise of Christmas

The birth of Jesus isn’t just a great story; it’s a real event that shows us not just how God loves us but how God’s people (just like us) had to learn to trust in the face of incredibly difficult and, at times, unbelievable circumstances. We’ll be reminded of the humanity in the story and the faith it takes to believe in the promise of Christmas!
