Meditate in 360Sýnishorn
Judean Desert
Today, we are going to meditate on God’s provision.
In front of you is the Judean desert.
It stretches before you—miles in every direction.
Imagine the sun’s warmth. Can you feel the hot breeze on your neck?
Food is scarce. Water is limited.
Can you imagine living in a place like this? Maybe hiking the hills to your right or wandering down into the valleys below.
Can you imagine how thirsty you would be after being here?
Imagine that your soul is like the desert that stretches out in front of you.
You feel dry and cracked. You want health and vibrance.
The Psalmist writes, “O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water” (Ps. 63:1).
Do you long for God’s provision? Do you desire refreshment from Jesus? The Bible says, “He turns a desert into pools of water, a parched land into springs of water. (Ps. 107:35)
Do you believe Jesus can quench your spiritual thirst? He says to you, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. [38] Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” (John 7:37–38)
Will you come to him now and drink? Will you trust in God’s provision?
