Day 3: The Fire Of Trials
Just as you can be sure that God will anoint you for the work He has for you, you can be sure at some point you will face the fire of trials.
Men, what I want you to pay attention to is that your trials are designed specifically to short circuit your destiny. We have an enemy who does not want you to carry out your Kingdom purpose. If you fail to withstand your trials you will never grow Spiritually to become who God called you to be.
Scripture is full of men going through trials that challenged them to the very core of their being. Take full advantage of all the examples God has prepared for us in the Bible to draw inspiration, strength, and wisdom from. For today’s entry we’ll take a look at one example.
When Israel was in captivity in Babylon, the Babylonian king made a gold statue and a law that everyone had to worship it. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were three of the captives who were taken. They were some of the best and brightest young men of Israel. They refused to follow the law to worship the king’s statue. They faced a literal trial by fire and were punished by being thrown into a fiery furnace. God walked into the fire with them and kept them safe from harm. When they came out just fine, the king was so impacted he made a decree that no one could speak a word against God!
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego’s purpose was to show the glory and majesty of God even amidst a pagan society and a bad situation. The trial was designed to silence their voices and have them worship idols like everyone else in the culture around them. They held their ground and did not give up their conviction to worship God alone. This made the glory and majesty of God spread all throughout the kingdom of Babylon beyond what they could have done on their own.
Stand firm in your trials. Be dedicated to God no matter what the circumstance. Ask God for strength. If you endure, your purpose will reach heights you never thought possible.
