Managing Money as WorshipSýnishorn
Yes, I’ll admit, it isn’t every day that you probably think of managing money as an act of worship, but 1 Corinthians 10:31 gives us the freedom to do so: “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
In my 42 years walking on this earth, I have yet to meet a single person whose life never involved the use of money. So you likely earn and spend money each month just like I do.
And the truth is that you and I have the opportunity to just go on about our lives each and every day, earning and spending without much thought, OR we have the opportunity to make our financial decisions with intentionality… “for the glory of God.”
In the grand tapestry of our spiritual lives, how we manage money can be a thread that weaves in humility, service, faithfulness, and worship, intricately interlacing our earthly responsibilities with our heavenly calling.
Let’s pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of life and the resources You have entrusted to me. I acknowledge that every good gift comes from You. Today, I choose to dedicate my financial life to You. Guide me in making wise and intentional financial decisions that honor and glorify Your name. Help me to remember that whether I am earning, saving, or spending, I can do it as an act of worship. May my financial choices reflect my commitment and gratitude to You.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
