God Fills in the Gaps

DAY 1 OF 3

The emptiness of my life

We all have a void that only God can fill. The human being was created in His image, so it is normal to live on the edge of need and feel empty when we are far from Our Creator. The original plan was for man to be in communion with God, otherwise "feeling empty" would be one of the many consequences of being away from His presence.

Who knows the work of art better than its own artist? No one knows the work better than the one who created them. God knows our needs because God is our Creator. That "vacancy" that inhibits us from living a full life will always be God because God is the only and greatest need of all humanity.

I have also felt empty and that is how I expressed it in this stanza:

"Sunk in depression,

emotionally lonely

I don't see the meaning of life

I live in an existential void.”

Just as a newborn needs the warmth of his parents to have life, grow and develop, in the same way, you and I need God in our daily lives.

John 15:5 says: “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in me, and I in him, this one bears much fruit; because apart from me you can do nothing.”

Living independent of God will never be the option. Apart from God, we can do nothing. We are all dependent on God and we need him to experience our life in the fullness of him, otherwise we will feel empty.

The solution to the emptiness in your life is to seek the face of Jehovah day after day.
