A Proverbs 31 Woman LaughsSýnishorn
Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. Proverbs 31:25 (KJV)
Strength and honor are her clothing, and she can laugh at the days to come. Proverbs 31:25 (BSB)
Dear one, God wants you full of joy, and I want you to believe it.
I love the BSB and KJV translations of Proverbs 31:25 because the declarations that "she shall rejoice" and "she can laugh at" offer hope for the future and calls us to respond to life's events with an awareness of our identity. Perhaps you have not laughed in a while or don't believe you have any reason to rejoice; I pray that completing this short study will stir up joy and cause you to laugh.
To renew your mind and clear up all doubts that the joyful life described in Proverbs 31:25 is God’s desire for you, I invite you to meditate on these scriptures:
Always be joyful. 1 Thessalonians 5:16 (NLT)
Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Philippians 4:4 (NLT)
For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Romans 14:17 (NLT)
But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy. Psalm 5:11 (NLT)
Since God wants you full of joy so you can laugh at the days to come, you can lean on Him as the source of your joy in good and challenging times. You are an overcomer living in a fallen world filled with trials and challenges that can only bring out the best in you. Believe the Words of Jesus, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.” Luke 18:27 (NLT)
