Daily Bible Reading – May 2023, God’s Saving Word: FaithSýnishorn
May 15
Introduction
Today’s psalm expresses total confidence in God. The writer is always aware of God’s presence, and knowing this fills the writer with joy.
Scripture Reading
Psalm 16
Today’s Key Verse: Psalm 16:5
You, LORD, are all I have, and you give me all I need; my future is in your hands.
Reflect
How does the psalm writer express confidence in God? In verse 8, the writer says, “I am always aware of the LORD’s presence.” When or how do you experience God’s presence?
Pray
I praise you, O Lord, because you guide me. You are always near. You show me the path that leads to life, and your presence fills me with joy. Amen.
And now, join us in thanking God that Bibles are providing healing for the hearts and souls of people in China. Praise to you, Lord God, that people in China are able to read more of your Word. In remote villages that do not have good medical care available, your Word brings hope and healing to those who are experiencing depression. Thanks to the faithful support of Bible-A-Month Partners, your Word is bringing physical and spiritual healing to waiting hearts and hands in China. Amen.
Tomorrow’s Reading
Psalm 27: A prayer of confidence in God’s protection.
