DAY 5 OF 20

Our Father is lavish; we live in the evidence of that love all around us! Trees don’t just have one leaf; they have zillions of leaves. The skies aren’t just filled with one kind of bird; they have countless species that all sing a different tune. God didn’t just make one kind of animal; our world is a chorus of grunts and roars from all kinds of creatures. Our bodies aren’t just made of one type of cell; a myriad of cells all miraculously work together. God didn’t just make one star; He filled the entire universe with more than even the strongest telescopes we’ve invented can even see. The list could go on and on! See the pattern? Our Father doesn’t just do things halfway. He goes above and beyond to lavish us, including His love for us. It is abundant, beyond, and more than we can even imagine. We will never over-estimate it. We live under the covering of a Father who is over-the-top in all things, His love included.

So today, pray that God will remind you of His lavish love for you. Ask Him to point you back to His extravagant love every moment of your day. Let it remind you to see His goodness at work in your world.

About this Plan

Storyteller

Stories teach us life lessons that stick with us well after the last page is turned. That may be why Jesus often told stories to convey a big idea or truth. He knew stories would connect with our hearts. We’ll dive into a few of those stories (parables) together. As we study, we’ll discover the power of those stories and how they can apply to our lives, as well as the power of Jesus as a teacher and a storyteller.
