Real Hope: Definition of LoveSýnishorn
Not Your Typical Wedding Bible Reading
Yes, that’s right, these are the verses I picked to talk about love. Let me explain!
Jesus knew what was coming. While on the journey to save all of humanity from death and destruction, He would be mocked, spat at, flogged, tortured, and horrifically murdered – an innocent man, the Son of God.
Don’t miss in these verses that Jesus walked ahead of them, no turning back. He kept pressing on to this unjust outcome because of love – for God the Father and for His creation that He spoke into being, a fallen, broken people that had rejected Him and would take His life from Him. Yes, He loves you that much. While they mocked and brutally beat Jesus, He stayed the course.
While they tormented Him from the ground as the gruesome nails pulled against His hands and feet on the cross, Jesus prayed, ‘Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing’ (Luke 23:34).
We will never fully comprehend the love that God has for us, that endured so much for us, to be in relationship with us. But do know that God has this love for you – always has, and always will.

About this Plan
Love, some would say, runs the world. Love of self, the idea of love, romantic love sold to us in the movies, love of things, love of success etc. It’s a word that’s used in everyday conversation, used to describe feelings, emotions and relationships. However, somewhere in there we can lose sight of the biblical meaning of love. In this plan we’ll explore just what love really is.
