Letters to My Daughter

DAY 1 OF 6

Day One – Confidence in Christ

My Daughter,

I hope you are experiencing to the fullest extent this one and only awesome day made just for you by the king of kings, our God! If not, perk up. He is all over this day!

Today, I want to talk to you about something. I want to talk to you about your confidence in Christ. Sometimes, thinking about confidence can almost feel worldly, because the world might define confidence as your abilities, your personality type, the words you say, how you walk, the successes you have, and what you do for a living.

However, confidence is rooted in Christ alone. There are so many Bible verses about walking in the confidence of God!

Ephesians 3:12 states, “In him and through faith in him, we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

Your faith is critical as you walk in God-given confidence – and I want to encourage you to look up three Bible verses today about your worth and confidence in Christ.

There are some people who utilize the word confidence, when really they distort it into arrogance or pride. This is not the will of Christ.

Proverbs 11:2 says, “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.”

In order for God-given confidence to occur, there has to be a balance of God-given confidence and humility. I have met many people who are at the top of their field, but they are not prideful – they embrace their God-given talents with grace and humility. Having a humble spirit of service combined with a spirit of excellence and thoroughness allows you to excel beyond your peers in any field you are planted in by Christ

I pray that you continue with this balance in yourself as you pursue the dreams God has placed in your heart.

Love,

Your loving Father
