Holy Week: A Journey From Jesus’ Death to ResurrectionSýnishorn
Wednesday: Last Supper
Today, we’re reflecting on and preparing for Passover or the Last Supper, which took place on Maundy Thursday. So much takes place at this meal. If you’ve never participated in a Passover service, it’s a great way to bring richness and depth to your understanding of not only the Last Supper but also Jesus’ prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane.
This is a turning point. Jesus is with all His apostles. He knows Judas will betray and Peter will deny, and still, He eats with them. He even washes their feet!
Is there someone in your life you need to serve?
Prayer: Jesus, thank You for the example You set of what it looks like to love and honor people. Thank You for giving me a way to remember You through bread and wine. Holy Spirit, guide me as I study.
About this Plan
You are beginning a journey through the most important week in history. Come along with us and recline with Jesus at the Passover table, linger in the silence of Holy Saturday, and experience the joy of Jesus’ Resurrection. Each day, we’ll look at what the gospels say about the events of Holy Week and walk through a simple prayer. We’ll follow the S.O.A.P. study method: Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer.
