Purpose in Pain

DAY 4 OF 4

Welcome to the last day of purpose in pain. Our focus for today is going to be John 16:33. Jesus tells His followers that hard times are coming, but we should remain faithful knowing that this is all a part of God’s greater plan and His will for our lives.

Victory in Christ overshadows all of our troubles. God wants us to be encouraged during troubling times. He wants us to put all of our trust in Him. We may experience deep sorrow temporarily but the joy that it brings will last forever.

Addiction, loss, molestation, and depression are things I've dealt with. At different seasons in my life, each one brought pain that I never thought I would heal from or overcome. I could never understand why God would put me through so much. I realized that each hardship that I had experienced was to instill the tools and knowledge I needed to have; so that I could be prepared for the purpose that God has placed over my life. God was building something inside of me. He was preparing me for purpose.

My question to you is are you prepared for your purpose? Do not let your sufferings take away from the calling God has given you. It doesn't matter what you have, what you've been through, or what people say about you. You have a purpose. There is a purpose in pain.

Prayer

Lord, despite the many sufferings we go through we still thank you for everything. I know you have given me a purpose Father God. Each trial, each hardship, and each suffering I have experienced and will experience brings me great peace because I know that everything that happens in my life is part of the greater plans You have set for my life. Amen.

About this Plan

Purpose in Pain

Throughout the journey of life, we will experience many hardships and trials. I've experienced addiction, depression, molestation, and loss. Despite the pain that was brought by each one, I was able to find purpose through the pain. In this 4 day devotional, you will receive words of encouragement and love showing the goodness of God and how he uses our most difficult circumstances for a greater cause.
