Biblical Multiplication ModelsSýnishorn
Human beings have been made in the image of God (Gen.1:26). This provides them with creativity, imagination, and the capacity to create. Human beings can achieve incredible things. We have been made almost like a god, according to Psalm 8. These human beings also have their place in our companies, so we have an enormous potential for creative power in our companies. The art of entrepreneurial leadership is to free this potential and make it fertile for the good that the company wants to contribute. How can we do this?
A motivating environment
God used six days to create an environment in which human beings could flourish. As entrepreneurial leadership, it is smart to take your time and first create an environment within which our staff members will feel at home. Elements that play a role are personality, talents, motivating circumstances, values, and vision. Someone who is at ease will naturally contribute because it makes them happy.
Inspiration
In the same way, as God wants to inspire us with his vision and dreams for this life, we as entrepreneurs can and may inspire and encourage our staff members with the dreams we wish to realize with our company. How can our companies make a difference? How do we contribute to the well-being of people and society at large? People love to make a difference and contribute to ideals they can identify with. An inspired staff member gives the best part of himself to realize the common goal.
Multiplying entrepreneurship
God’s Spirit wants to renew our characters and reshape us in the image of Jesus. You may say that God plants Jesus’s DNA in us. This way, we as entrepreneurs may also multiply ourselves in others. For leadership, it is important to timely create new sources of entrepreneurship and growth by transferring the DNA of your entrepreneurship to others. And those others, too, can transfer it in their turn to yet other people who are trustworthy and fit to continue this process of multiplying (2 Tim. 2:2). This way, we create a sustainable entrepreneurial atmosphere that creates automatic growth.
The person who is able to make someone else grow is greater than the person who grows. If we can free the good in a human being to the benefit of the common good, we have created creative power. I think this is an important aspect of finding your destiny, as image bearers of God.
