Lean on the LordSýnishorn
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight,” Proverbs 3:5-6.
As human beings, we love to be in control and plan our lives in detail. But the pressure to plan everything perfectly can lead to anxiety and insecurity. Is this a good plan? Is it good enough? What if...? Would it be better to...? Life can bring havoc and confuse our plans. One moment you think you have it all neatly arranged, and a moment later, it is all up in the air.
Fortunately, you can learn from this Scripture that you don’t have to do it all by yourself. Let go and trust Him; your focus will shift, and instead of trying to rule your own life, you can go to the Ruler who has everything in His hand. You can take His hand and live your life day by day, trusting Him with small and big things. A job interview, challenges at work or home, sensitive conversations with friends, a difficult phone call, or awkward decisions you need to make. You can also trust Him with your to-do list today. Submit everything you do to Him, and He will make your paths straight.
God will accomplish His work in you. Sometimes the outcome is different than what you anticipated. That is part of letting go. Ultimately, His ways are better, more beautiful, and stronger. He knows what you want, but He gives you what you need. He sees the big picture. Be patient and full of trust. It will be an adventure to discover how He will lead you!
