Possess the Promised LandSýnishorn
A Commitment to Stay in the Word
Entering into the life God promised you is very closely linked to how much you value, believe, speak and live out God’s word. God’s word is always successful; it is always powerful. And it will always lead us toward His promises. The more our lives align with what He says, the more we become like Him.
As we look back to Joshua, we see the Lord telling the Israelites not to turn away from the Book of the Law but to meditate on it day and night (Joshua 1:7-8).
The Israelites could not stay in the Promised Land because they abandoned the word of God (Jeremiah 7:21-26).
In the same way, we must commit ourselves to be in God’s word. The only way we can navigate the truth crisis plaguing our society is by committing to stay in the word of God.
As God instructed Joshua, so too He urges us — to meditate on the Bible, plant God’s word in our hearts, and we will see His promises come to pass.
Reflect:
How much time do you devote to God’s word in your life each day?
How can you meditate more on God’s word today?
