A Little God Time for Men

DAY 7 OF 7

Sent

What a momentous occasion for these rag-tag teenage Jesus followers. Most of them were blue-collar workers, semiskilled in religious studies, and marred by negative cultural legacy. They were from Galilee, second-class citizens at best. Completely and utterly unqualified for the task ahead of them. Inexperienced, uneducated, and immature. The amazing thing about the generosity of God is that he doesn’t just invite us to join him in his work; he also generously supplies all we need to live on a mission with him. For the disciples, he practically supplied teammates to journey with, to pray with, and to support and care for. He also spiritually provided the ability to get the job done. A certain set of tools are needed for kingdom building, and the King generously supplies them.

You have a massive calling on your life. Remember that you are inexperienced, you are a work in progress, and you are completely unqualified. The great news is that when the King calls, the King supplies. All you need today can be found in him. So ask God to show you his generosity today. You are called, and so you will be equipped.

Lord, replace my doubt, my fear, and my feelings of inadequacy with a deep sense of call, a confidence in my being sent by you. I look to you to supply all the resources I need today to get the job done.
