Seek in SevenSýnishorn
"My heart says of you, "Seek his face!" Your face, Lord, I will seek." Psalm 27:8
We all have a pulling, a tugging, a yearning from within. This pulling comes from your innermost being, from deep within your heart. It exists as an extension of your soul. The heart's yearning is its way of asking for something. In most cases, the heart is asking to be filled.
Every person is born needing love, and this is often the most significant ask from the heart. As we seek God first and as we experience the things of God, we teach our hearts to yearn for the filling that comes from Him. God is love, and therefore, as our hearts are filled with more of Him, it receives love.
Psalm 27:8 reads of the heart asking for the seeking of God's face. The heart understands that it needs more of God. Whether you are aware or not, your heart was yearning. It asked for more of God and drew you to this very devotion. As you read the description of Seek in 7 or were drawn by the name, something from deep within you beckoned you here. Follow that calling.
As you continue to seek Him, the filling of your heart will transform you from the inside. It will heal your heart in areas you may have never known needed healing. It will create Godly desires from within you that you never thought possible. Sit back and watch God work in your heart as you seek His face.
Today take a moment to reflect on what drew you to this devotion. Consider things that may have broken your heart. Commit to God today to continue to seek His face and ask Him to fill your heart with more of Him and His healing power.
